Summit to present one-stop recycling shop at RWM

At this year’s RWM show, Tamworth-based Summit Systems Recycling Machinery will be promoting its bespoke equipment for efficient plastics recycling.

Recognising the need for recycling of plastics in the UK, parent company, Summit Systems, launched Summit Recycling Machinery, a company that both manufactures its own products as well as distributing ancillary equipment from some well-renowned suppliers.

Summit’s recycling division is said to be the only recycling machinery distributor and manufacturer in the UK that has its own recycling business using the machinery it supplies, known as Boomerang Plastics.

The team from Boomerang will be on Summit’s stand at the show in order to give advice and information about the equipment, having both set up a complete line as well as managing its day-to-day running.

“We actively encourage potential customers to visit our recycling business, Boomerang Plastics, to see for themselves how our machinery could work for them,” commented Boomerang’s Managing Director, Mike Jordan.

Through their discoveries in setting up Boomerang Plastics, the team have additionally developed some of their own unique solutions for recycling contaminated plastics, which are designed and manufactured in the UK.

Tamworth MP, Christipher Pincher, recently visited the site to learn about the whole process and later described it as “innovative technology to recycle plastic waste into valuable new products”. He also mentioned Boomerang Plastics in the House of Commons during Business, Innovation and Skills Questions, when he asked Ministers “what they were doing to encourage local authorities to offer the right sorts of planning rights to allow firms such as Boomerang to find the right space to grow and expand”.

Summit Recycling Machinery will be at the RWM show at the NEC, Birmingham, from 10-12th September on stand 19P49-N48.
