UK rotomoulding event helps companies develop and innovate

The BPF Rotational Moulders Group recently held a seminar event designed to provide delegates with the opportunity to explore the tooling process in order to help companies in the sector develop and innovate.

The seminar, which took place on 25th April 2013 at the MPH Training and Conference Centre in Gateshead, brought together a coterie of attendees from multi-disciplinary backgrounds from across the industry comprising of designers, moulders, tool makers and material suppliers.

The forum was comprised of discussions and information sharing around key innovations and developments in tooling for the rotational moulding industry.

On the day, attendees were joined by expert speakers from companies including Maus Mould Services, Rotomotive, 493K, Rotosolutions and Solid Solutions whose presentations were said to offer a comprehensive exploration of topics including ‘Advances in Coating Technology for Rotational Moulding Tools’; ‘Finite Element Analysis as a Design Tool’ and ‘Process Control and Developments in CAD Design’.

The seminar was concluded with a tour of Steel Tool Solutions, which offered visitors the opportunity to see hands on demonstrations of what can be achieved through steel toolmaking.
