CAD/CAM software provider opens North-West office

Software developer, Delcam, has opened an office in Liverpool that it says will support increased sales in the North West of the UK, in particular to the region’s aerospace industry. 

The company says the expansion follows significant growth in UK sales during the last year.  A large number of new customers for the company’s CADCAM programmes, together with greater investment in additional seats by existing customers, saw an increase of almost 40 percent in software sales from 2011 to 2012.

The new office is located in the same building as Delcam’s robot integration partner, CNC Robotics.  “Demand for machining with robots is increasing, with a growing number of companies looking to use robots either alongside or instead of conventional machine tools,” said Delcam UK General Manager, Steve Creron.

Delcam says it is now looking for additional sales and support staff for both the Liverpool office and the company’s Birmingham headquarters.  “We have seen further sales growth so far this year, and need to expand both our sales team and our support team to meet the growing demand,” commented Creron.
