Delegates head to Brighton ahead of PVC 2014

With delegates arriving in Brighton in anticipation of PVC 2014, the Chair of the conference's organising committee, Stuart Patrick, says the event will cover some of the key issues facing the industry today.

With a strong line up of speakers delivering around 70 conference papers on a range of topics from sustainability and recycling through niche areas such as medical plastics, the organisers say there will be much for the 300 delegates already registered for the event to discover and learn.

In addition to the day one highlights already released, the opening day of PVC 2014 has now been enhanced with the addition of a market update from India, which will supplement the market updates from Europe, North America, Asia and Japan. These papers will follow a Global View picture from IHS who is the leading provider of diverse global market and economic information and a regular contributor to the Brighton Conference.

Laura Shields, from the Media Coach and former producer for CNN and CNBC, has also been added to the day one line-up. Laura will present ‘Risk Communication: What works and what doesn’t,’ and will examine the pitfalls that people working in science-based, technical industries often encounter when trying to put the public at ease about health or environmental worries.

PVC 2014 will take place from 1-3 April in Brighton. BP&R is the headline media sponsor for the event.
