Inaugural ‘Meet the Recycler’ event hailed a success

A conference aimed at bringing plastics moulders and recyclers together in order to build closer relationships and bring about new opportunities has been hailed a success.

The inaugural ‘Meet the Recycler’ event, organised by the British Plastics Federation and hosted by Evolve Polymers Limited in Hemswell, follows the association’s successful ‘Meet the Toolmaker’ event, which was held last year.

The recycling event, which is designed to facilitate networking in an informal environment, attracted nearly 40 attendees from 29 companies, with nine recyclers exhibiting and representatives from WRAP and RECOUP in attendance.

The conference also provided an opportunity to showcase recycled material to moulders interested in using recycled plastics as part of their manufacturing process.

“Working with the BPF to host this event is a great opportunity for us to build closer and better relationships with our fellow BPF members, as well allowing us to showcase our products and manufacturing processes,” explained Chris Brown, CEO, Evolve Polymers.

David Richardson of Marwood Group, who attended the event, said: "Meet the Recyclers was a good networking opportunity and a great platform to explore the potential of recycled materials in the moulding industry.”
