Learn to solve the problem of adhesion to plastics and rubber

UK-based Dyne Technology has announced it will host a series of surface energy measurement and surface treatment training courses to be held throughout 2013.

The one-day training course is held at the Dyne Technology Centre in Lichfield, Staffordshire; where delegates can learn the fundamentals of surface energy and how to improve bond performance to plastics and rubber.

Dyne states that previous delegates have attended because they wanted to learn how to achieve better adhesion to low surface energy materials e.g. P.P. or P.E, where printing inks rub off, glued parts fail, gaskets and seals won’t bond and paint and coating will not adhere.

These problems are experienced throughout the automotive, medical device, print and indeed any industry that has to bond, print, or coat plastic or rubber components and are becoming more commonplace with the increasing use of polyolefins.

According to Dyne, the course tutor, Chris Lines, has many years experience working with manufacturing industries and has been able to solve countless problems of adhesion. The training course is tailored to cover the problems related to each participant’s industry where possible.
