New tool making and AM show will be powered by TCT

A new tradeshow dedicated to tool and mould making and additive technologies debuting in Frankfurt this November will be powered with a partnership from one of the industry’s leading publishers and conference producers.

The ‘formnext’ show, which is the latest offering from Mesago, the Messe Frankfurt Group, will be strengthened by collaboration with Rapid News Publications Limited, owners of the TCT and Rapid Plastics Media titles. The show will now take on the moniker ‘formnext powered by TCT’.

“This partnership offers additional strength to the formnext concept, creating a very attractive, international and long-lasting trade show concept,” commented Johann Thoma, CEO of Mesago Messe Frankfurt. “The benefits to the additive technologies/3D printing sector are most obvious, but the tool making sector stands to gain from the innovative partnership.”

The cooperation between the two organisations will see a high-level, two-day conference running parallel to the show. The conference program will not only focus on additive technologies/3D printing, but will also follow the trends and latest insights in the area of tool making.

“The combination of a substantial exhibition and an expansion of the well-respected TCT conference series will make formnext powered by TCT the place to be for additive technologies/ 3D printing and tool making. Knowledge meets expertise, expertise meets customers. A platform that can be a benefit for everyone involved,” Thoma added.

The TCT platform brings over 20 years experience in the 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing sectors, as well as connection to some of the world's most influential speakers. Commenting, Duncan Wood, COO of Rapid News Publications, said that the two partners had come together to work “with and for” the wider industry.

“Our research highlighted the requirement for an annual event, in a global hub, with trusted organisers,” he said.  “Formnext powered by TCT will deliver this and more, giving the industry a stable international platform from which to continue its unprecedented growth.”

The inaugural event will take place in in Hall 3 of the Frankfurt exhibition centre from 24-27 November 2015. The four-day event will feature some of the leading names in additive manufacturing and tool making from Europe and beyond.
