H.T.E brings new machine to Interplas

by

Plastics assembly experts, H.T.E Engineering Services Ltd, have recently launched the new PulseStaker MultiPoint Ct. machine, which it says answers the call for a system incorporating quick release, interchangeable tooling.

H.T.E explained the new Ct machine design allows tooling cassettes to be loaded effortlessly in and out of the processing area using trolleys, which can be parked away from the immediate assembly area. This results in minimal downtime between different applications and frees up premium floor space local to the production area.

Available in a range of capacities, the MultiPoint Ct is pre-programmable for each tooling cassette and sensors may be readily switched on or off from the HMI display via password entry.

Latest developments from H.T.E Engineering Services Ltd also include the integration of thermocouples within the PulseStaker tips thus providing continuous recording of statistical process control data, and also the monitoring of three-phase input voltage.

As the voltage fluctuates, the equipment is able to compensate by increasing or decreasing the time that each tip is heated thereby ensuring process continuity.

The MultiPoint Ct is suitable for most assembly applications involving thermoplastics with applications incorporating up to 100 staking points. Currently over 270 different tip profiles are available to suit products within the automotive, medical, electronics and domestic goods industries.

The machine also provides the option for parts sensing, camera scanning, mechanical fatigue and electrical continuity testing particularly in respect to vehicle switch and lamp circuits.

The process is demonstrated in portable form on Stand J20 at Interplas 2014.
