by

PolyOne’s new surface enhancement technologies have received “huge interest” following their tradeshow debut at K 2016.

The company’s new IM3D Surface Enhancement Technology, which creates the appearance of depth and texture on flat surfaces, has received interest from a variety of visitors from packaging, personal electronics and automotive markets.

“We're thrilled with the interest that this new technology has created,” said Matt Deffosse, PolyOne’s Marketing Communications Manager for Europe.

“It is a great feeling to bring a technology to K that appeals to so many different markets. The IM3D product is by far and away the one that we have had the most enquiries about.”

Other technologies that have created a buzz amongst vsitors to the PolyOne stand, Deffosse added, include newly-launched Impress High Gloss Metallic Effect Concentrates, which give packaging an attention-grabbing look at point-of-sale.

It also launched ‘OnCap’ Laser Marking Additives, available in new formulations that enable excellent legibility at even the highest production rates and ‘LubriOne’ Wear-Resistant Solutions are now available in new formulations that further improve part performance and manufacturability.

“PolyOne’s recent developments highlight the breadth of the company’s solutions suite and the depth of our expertise in polymer science,” said Holger Kronimus, vice president, Europe and General Manager, Speciality Engineered Materials, at PolyOne.

“We welcome further K show attendees to visit our stand and explore how these innovative technologies can help them meet challenges and enhance their products.”
