X-Rite Pantone to bring colour consistency to Interplas

by

X-Rite Incorporated, a specialist in colour science and technology, and its subsidiary, Pantone LLC, will feature a variety of instruments, software, services and techniques for ensuring accurate, reliable and consistent colour throughout the entire plastics supply chain at Interplas 2014.

“Whether you are a master batcher/compounder, responsible for quality control or a plastics manufacturer,” said Tobias Rausch, Market Manager of X-Rite Pantone, “we have solutions that will ensure end-to-end colour perfection and the ability to seamlessly communicate colour data throughout the supply chain.”

The solutions to be showcased include the Ci4200 compact benchtop spectrophotometer, which serves as the foundation for operations seeking to establish a colour control programme or to update an existing programme; Ci64 portable sphere spectrophotometer, a performance-driven solution for managing colour at any stage of production for consistent colour monitoring, efficient quality control and reduced operating costs; and RM200QC, a pocket-sized spectrocolorimeter that can be used to compare the colours of lab samples or plastic parts in the field with reference standards, and then create reports that can be shared with supply chain partners.

It will also feature its ‘Colour iMatch’ solution that reduces colour formulation costs by using spectral matching, ensuring that consistent spectral values are employed from start to finish in the plastics specification, formulation and manufacturing process; Colour iQC quality control software that removes the guesswork from evaluating colour and increases efficiency while ensuring accurate colour control; and its NetProfiler 3, which allows the verification, optimisation, and certification of the performance of colour measurement devices, in the lab, in the plant and throughout the colour supply chain.

The Pantone Essentials and the Pantone PLUS Standard plastic chip collection, as well as the Farnsworth Munsell Hue Test, an easy-to-administer test and a highly effective method for measuring an individual's colour vision will also be available at the stand.

“Our lighting products, including our Judge II light booth, will also ensure that colour is viewed and measured under optimum lighting conditions. We encourage visitors to stop by our stand…to see how these solutions can take the guesswork out of the colour management process, saving precious time and money.”
