Yuken Europe launches new-generation equipment at Interplas UK
Merseyside-based hydraulic engineering company, Yuken Europe, is showcasing its latest motors at the UK’s largest plastic industry exhibition.
Yuken Europe Managing Director, Mannie Saunders, said the firm will highlight its new-generation ASE Servo motor at Interplas UK, which is said to boost both the energy and production efficiencies of modern and older plastic injection moulding machines.
“All the large plastics-related companies will be at the NEC, from plastic product manufacturers to injection moulding machinery makers, including our recent German-based customer, Sumitomo (SHI) Demag,” commented Saunders.
“As well as showcasing Yuken’s new-generation ASE Servo motor to manufacturers of new injection moulding machines, we also want to show how owners of older machines can benefit directly by retro fitting our ASE units onto their current plastic injection machines.
"It will allow the owners to understand many of the significant benefits of this technology with improved energy usage, production quality and production efficiencies for a fraction of the cost of buying new plastic injection machines. Our servo drive units substantially cut the amount of wastage, rejections and emissions.
“There are many manufacturers in the UK and globally which use plastic injection-moulding machines. So the market has great potential and we intend to drive our sales through highlighting the benefits of these motors.”
Earlier this year, Yuken Europe secured a deal to supply parts to Sumitomo (SHI) Demag, one of the largest and most respected manufacturers of plastic injection moulding equipment. The Speke-based firm is exporting more than 250 units for use in a number of machines at the German firm’s base in Schwaig. The contract marked Yuken’s advance into the European injection-moulding industry and as it continues to target a number of regions.
