The countdown is on to this year’s RECOUP Plastics Recycling Conference, which is being held in Peterborough on 29th September.

The event will bring together the whole of the plastics supply, use and recycling chain to discuss and debate the latest issues affecting the industry, as well as innovations, updates on progressions and best practice.

The 2016 event will be Chaired by BBC Countryfile’s Tom Heap, with keynote address from Prof. Dr jur. Helmut Maurer, European Commission DG for the Environment.

There will also be a number of high-level speakers from retail, including Kevin Vyse from Marks and Spencer and Iain Fergusson of Co-Op Food, which has recently become the first retailer to commit to the Plastics Industry Recycling Action Plan (PIRAP).

Conference attendance is free to all RECOUP members, with some free places for Local Authorities and academics. Details of tickets for non-members can be found on the website, as can the full agenda for the event.
