A spoonful of style: designer flaunts outfit made from plastic cutlery

by

A daring designer stole the fashion limelight at this year’s Royal Ascot race meeting by arriving in an outfit made from plastic spoons.

Art couture designer, Larisa Katz, reportedly designed and wore the outfit to show “the creative side of recycling.”

It is not the first time the designer has worn an eclectic outfit for a high profile event, with previous appearances seeing her don a 3D-printed jacket at Royal Ascot in 2013, as well as a dress made from plastic cake trays at the Cannes Film Festival in the same year.

According to Katz’ marketing agency, her creations are “more than dresses”, moreover, “a mobile work of art that makes a statement with high publicity value.”
