Bag-In-Barrel inner plastic liner provides “ingeniously simple” solution

A strong and pliable LDPE multi-layer inner liner that is said to eliminate contamination risk from rust, condensation and bacteria in 216-litre steel barrels is being exclusively manufactured in the UK.

The Bag-in-Barrel (BIBA™) liner, produced by Belgrade Polymer Products, is suitable for the transportation and storage of all types of fluids, from chemicals and inks to fuels and foodstuffs, and is specially designed to reduce waste through contamination, as well as overcome environmental issues associated with disposal of the drums.

Developed in Norway, the patented BIBA system sits inside the steel drum, combining the best properties of both packaging types; the drum’s strength with the liner’s flexibility, cleanliness and resistance to chemicals.
