BM Injection targets further growth thanks to bank support

Hampshire-based moulder and toolmaker, BM Injection, has used bank funding to expand its business after a period of growth.

Working with Clydesdale Bank, the company has recently invested its facilities, opening a new 1000 sq. ft. industrial storage unit in Basingstoke.

This is in addition to investment already made previously at its 10,000 sq. ft. Whitchurch base, where the focus has been primarily on cutting edge technology and computer systems.

BM Injection has enjoyed particular success in recent years, particularly as the manufacturer of safety helmets for professional cricketers on behalf of leading brand, Masuri.

It currently produces around 1000 helmets a week for the international market and will launch a new version this spring, aimed at the Indian market.

The company, which employs approximately 40 staff and has an annual turnover of around £2 million, is also enjoying success in the automotive sector, suppling components to key blue chip automotive firms such as Land Rover and Nissan.

“We’re continuing to see growth across all our main target sectors with sport and automotive looking particularly strong at present,” explained Tim Combes, BM’s Managing Director.

“Our new storage facility will be extremely beneficial, improving the efficiency of the business and freeing up considerable space within our Whitchurch premises.

“We have worked closely with Clydesdale Bank for a number of years and their support in helping us to develop the business has been very valuable.”

Mark Laughlan, Head of Clydesdale Bank’s Business and Private Banking Centres in Reading and Oxford, said: “We are pleased to have supported the expansion of BM Injection’s facilities and look forward to continuing to support Tim and his team in the coming year.”
