Brendan Colgan announced new CEO of Rosti Group

Global plastics injection moulding company and subcontract manufacturer, Rosti Group, has appointed Brendan Colgan as its new CEO, effective from March 1, 2016.

Northern Ireland-born Colgan succeeds Börje Vernet, who has been CEO since 2007, as the Group looks to double its turnover by 2019.

“It will be a privilege to continue to build upon what has already been accomplished at Rosti with good profitability and well-anchored values internally,” Colgan commented.

“Rosti Group has a strong position in the European and Asian market and I look forward to leading the company towards its vision to double the turnover to 2019 – from the current 500 million to 1 billion Euro – both organically and through acquisitions. ”

Colgan’s career has seen him in varying roles at Charter International Plc, an international engineering company comprising esab and Howden, as well as more recently with leader in motion and fluid control technologies, imi Precision Engineering.

“With a strong communicative ability
he [Colgan] has managed important change programmes, successfully developed the business and improved profitability in the companies where he has worked. With his international background and rich knowledge of complex, large industries Brendan has the competencies to lead Rosti in its continued development and growth,” commented Mats Heiman, Chairman of Directors of Rosti Board.

Rosti’s divisions in the UK consist of Rosti McKechnie, which has sites based in Stamford Bridge and Pickering, England, and Canning Brett, Wales, as well as Rosti UK Ltd, based in Larkhall, Scotland.
