Engel UK brings sales and service training in house with new appointment

Engel UK has appointed a new technical training manager in a newly created role that will see it carry out training in-house.

Richard Ashenford has joined the Warwick-based machinery supplier as Process Engineering and Technical Manager and will take overall responsibility for all of Engel UK’s training activities, as well as providing process engineering support for both the sales and service teams.

“Engel UK has tended to rely on our parent company for support with process engineering topics. Now with this new appointment we can bring this resource in house, as well as develop our training portfolio to include more advanced courses,” explained Engel UK Technical Director, Tony Borthwick.

Ashenford, who has spent his career in the plastics processing industry, takes the number of training staff at Engel UK to three.
