Engineering plastics firm named in Sunday Times top 200 list

A Leicester-based engineering plastics firm has been named as one of the UK’s top 200 companies with the fastest-growing international sales.

Nylacast, which provides cutting-edge engineering plastics and develops bespoke polymer components for companies including CAT, JCB and Shell, ranked at number 150 in the seventh annual Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200 league table.

Employing 410 members of staff worldwide, international sales at Nylacast hit £26.7million in 2015. It currently exports 70 percent of its engineering solutions to over 43 countries worldwide.

“We aim to excel our British exports further through continued business growth and further development of strategies worldwide, ever increasing opportunities and partnerships in diverse sectors, enabling creation of an even stronger UK base including new bigger manufacturing facilities in Leicester, UK, and further local job opportunities.”

This year is the first time Nylacast has been included in the league table, which is compiled by Oxford based research company, Fast Track.
