Plasma treatment specialist, Dyne Technology, has promoted its Graduate Sales Engineer to the role of Sales Director after five years with the business.

Christopher Howey, who has a degree in Chemistry and a background in adhesives, joined Dyne in 2011 and has made “a significant contribution” to the company’s continued development.

“I am excited to see what more can be achieved with Christopher now as Sales Director,” said Managing Director, Chris Lines. “A true expert in his field, the Dyne Technology team is proud of Christopher’s achievements and commitment to the company.”

Dyne Technology, which specialises in achieving good adhesion levels of paints, coatings, sealants and glues to traditionally “non-stick” plastics, says it is committed to developing its young team in light of the gap of young people in engineering and STEM-based roles.

“Plasma Treating is truly a fascinating industry to be a part of; with the rapid advancements in technology combined with the ever changing scope of problems faced, there are always new challenges to be faced and this really excites me,” commented Howey.

“Plasma Treating technology is the little known glue that holds the UK and Ireland’s manufacturing industries together and as Sales Director, I hope to continue to raise awareness of this fascinating and highly beneficial technology.”
