Gwalia turns plastic into fashion

Gwalia Packaging claims it’s “moving packaging into fashion” with the launch of wRist-Drink, a bottle that fits onto a users’ wrist.

The 330ml bottle that can be used for energy drinks, soft drinks or plain water, fits securely onto the wrist of a user without the inconvenience of actually carrying a water bottle, says the company.

Developed and marketed by Wrist Drink Ltd, Gwalia claims because of its design and material specification the bottle will fit any size wrist.

“Keeping well hydrated is essential for anybody doing physical exercise, whether it be simple working out, jogging, or more serious stuff like parkouring,” commented Managing Director of Gwalia, Rod Parker.

“The problem is carrying the - usually cumbersome - water bottle is onerous and inconvenient, wRist-Drink solves this in an elegant and practical way. More than that it looks good,” he added.

wRist drink is initially available in three colours, it is extrusion blow moulded in high-density polyethylene and, according to Gwalia, “will not wear out”.

The bottle will be available on the web at wrist-drink.co.uk and at sports shops this summer with major retail outlets following.

“As a packaging company we’re expected to make packs useful and effective. This time though we’ve gone one step further and made them cool. In my opinion, super cool,” Parker concluded.
