The Managing Director of ALBIS (UK) Ltd. has been named as the new Chief Sales Officer (CSO) for the overall ALBIS Plastic Group, based in Hamburg, Germany.

Ian Mills, who has worked for ALBIS’ UK subsidiary in Knutsford since 2007, will commence the new role from 1 October 2016. Initially, he will also continue with his management role at ALBIS (UK) Ltd.

“Ian Mills is an industry expert and very familiar with the ALBIS corporate group. We are very pleased to have such an experienced manager to take on the CSO position," commented Philip Krahn, CEO at ALBIS Plastic.

The ALBIS Group recently announced a new Joint Venture in the United States, founding a partnership with William Barnet and Son, LLC, a specialist in the production, recycling, and trading of fibres, yarn and polymers.

“This is a very exciting opportunity for me coming at a time when ALBIS is continuing its international expansion and I am looking forward to contributing to its further development and working with the strong team around me," Mills told BP&R.

Mills succeds outgoing CSO, Carsten W. Wörner, who is leaving the company by mutual agreement on 30 September.

Wörner took on the position of CSO on 1 April 2012 and since then has lead worldwide sales and the technical applications department. He was also responsible for the structural adjustment of sales as part of the progressive internationalisation strategy.

"We would like to thank Mr. Wörner for his commitment and successful work. Mr. Wörner has greatly influenced ALBIS PLASTIC's sales organisation and in so doing has contributed to the excellent results the ALBIS Group has had over the last few years," Krahn continued.
