IMCD to expand plastics additives partnership to the UK

Materials distributor, IMCD, has announced it is expanding its partnership with Dow Europe GmbH for Paraloid impact modifiers and Surecel processing aids into German-speaking Europe and the UK.

The extension for the impact modifiers and processing aids will take effect in the UK from June 1, 2015.

The expansion by IMCD has already begun in Germany, Switzerland and Austria and is a long existing partnership in a number of other European territories.

The impending move complements the recent appointment of IMCD by Dow on a Pan-European basis for its Tyrin chlorinated polyethylene range.

Paraloid, Tyrin and Surecel are impact modifiers and process aids used in a wide range of rigid PVC and engineering resin applications, which the company says offers an excellent balance of impact efficiency, processability and melt elasticity.

Marcus Jordan, Director Group Development of IMCD, said: “We are delighted to further expand our successful Plastic Additives partnership with Dow into a number of additional countries.

“As a global supplier of plastic additives offering industry leading products and innovative solutions to customers, the Dow range is an exciting addition to our current portfolio and will enable us to further penetrate this important market segment.”
