Kreyenborg sells off two plastics divisions

Managing Directors of the Kreyenborg Group, Jan-Udo Kreyenborg and Theodor Bruckmann, have sold their shares and retired from Kreyenborg GmbH, which manufactures screen changers and melt filters, as well as BKG Bruckmann & Kreyenborg GmbH, which specialises in processing technology to produce plastic pellets.

The businesses have been sold to the US-based Nordson Corporation.

The two Business Managers, Jan Hendrik Ostgathe and Ralf Simon, who have already been working for the companies as Managing Directors, will also be part of the management structure after the change in ownership.

Kreyenborg said the decision was “necessary for long-term corporate security in world-wide heavily modified markets.”

The 270 members of staff affected by the move, were informed in a staff meeting on Thursday, and Kreyenborg says their situation remains unchanged. The changes do not apply to the other members of the Kreyenborg group.

The production facilities of the two companies at Coermuehle and at Hessenweg in Muenster, Germany, have been long-term leased to Nordson for initial term of ten years.
