Leading female recognised with plastic association’s prestigious award

The US-based International Association of Plastics Distribution (IAPD) has recognised a leading female for her “outstanding contributions “ to the organisation at the opening of its latest convention.

Stephanie Neugebauer of Indelco Plastics Corporation in Omaha, NE, was awarded the IAPD’s ‘President’s Award’ at the 58th Annual IAPD Convention and Plastics Expo in October.

Neugebauer, who became chair of the IAPD’s Education Committee in 2013, has, in the last year, guided the committee to two new IAPD certificate programmes. Her expertise in pipe, valves and fittings paved the way for the development of a programme specifically in this area.

The IAPD says Neugebauer both helped to review the course materials and exam questions as well as recruiting others in the industry to provide insights to ensure the programme content was accurate and of value.

“The President’s Award is given to an individual or company who has gone above and beyond the call of duty on behalf of the association,” said Susan Avery, CAE, IAPD Chief Executive Officer. “Stephanie truly is the biggest advocate of IAPD’s educational offerings, taking every chance she gets to tell our members and the world about the benefits of being better informed about plastics. We thank Stephanie for all her service to IAPD this year.”

Neugebauer is the branch manager for Indelco Plastics Corporation and has been with the company since June 2010. Previously, she worked for a pipe manufacturing company and has spent her entire career thus far in plastics.
