LEGO tower breaks Guinness World Record

by

A tower built from LEGO in Milan, Italy, has broken the Guinness World Record to become the tallest recorded structure built from the plastic bricks.

The tower, built by over 18,000 volunteer children and adult builders of all ages, stands at 35 metres and consists of more than half a million individual LEGO bricks.

The record attempt was made as part of ‘EXPO 2015’, a six month-long, global exhibition taking place in Milan, and was designed to inspire children to develop their creativity, imagination and team-working skills.
