Lotte Chemicals UK recognised at Awards

A member of the Lotte Chemicals UK team has been recognised at an awards ceremony for the science industries.

Steve Trillo has been named the joint winner of the the ‘Outstanding Leadership in Skills Award’ for his work as a STEM board member and ambassador for apprenticeships at the third annual Science Industry Skills Awards organised by Cogent.

Dr Virginia Acha, Executive Director of Research, Medical and Innovation at ABPI, the events main sponsor, said: “This outstanding evening truly showcased innovation across training, development and education within the science-based industries; industries which have an ongoing requirement for top talent from here in the UK.”

Other winners from across the chemical, polymer, downstream, water treatment, coatings and biotechnology industries included advanced apprentices, programme providers, graduates and employers.

Joanna Woolf, Cogent Skills’ CEO, said: “We wish everyone who took part in the Awards continued success in their careers and in acting as such fantastic role models for the science industries.”
