Maria Ciliberti named new VP Marketing and New Business Development at Borealis

Borealis has announced the appointment of Maria Ciliberti to the position of Vice President of Marketing and New Business Development for its Polyolefins division, effective 11 July 2016.

Ciliberti joins Borealis directly from Celanese Europe BV in Amsterdam, where she had served as Vice President Sales - Europe, Middle East and Africa, for one year after having held the position at Celanese GmbH in Germany since 2012. 

Prior to that she has also held positions at Ticona Engineering Polymers, a business unit of Celanese; Composite Technologies and Owens Corning (both located in Michigan, US); and General Electric Plastics (in The Netherlands and in Michigan).

A native of the United States, Maria Ciliberti, began her career in polyolefins at The Dow Chemical Company in 1989 after earning back-to-back degrees from The Ohio State University of Columbus, Ohio: a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering (1985), and a Master of Business Administration (1989).
