Midlands coatings specialist promotes health and safety to MP

Tamworth-based Optical Coating Technologies received a visit from its local MP recently as part of a campaign to encourage good health and safety practices in the workplace.

Christopher Pincher MP visited the company, which applies optically clear coatings onto thermoplastics such as Polycarbonate, Acrylic (PMMA), PPSU and Polyurethane, for a range of products including domestic lighting, vehicle headlights, touch screens, safety goggles and police riot shields.

Mr Pincher took a tour of Optical Coating Technologies and met with local staff during his visit. Commenting, he said: “Looking at the range of products that are being produced here for a number of different markets has been really interesting. It is great to see some of these products guaranteeing people’s health and safety in the workplace.”
