Naomi Climber becomes first female President in IET’s 144-year history

Naomi Climer has become the President of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), the first women to do so  in the organisation’s 144-year history.

Climer’s first official engagement as President is in India, where she is currently attending the IET South Asia Community Volunteer conference to meet volunteers and members, as well as taking part in a ‘Women in Engineering’ panel discussion.

Diversity is an issue that Climer has a strong interest in and she is also keen to continue promoting engineering as a creative, exciting and diverse career during her term in office.
