Omega Plastics expands team following growth period

North East-based rapid tooling and plastic injection moulding manufacturer, Omega Plastics, has expanded its team as it enjoys a period of growth.

Megan Carr joins the firm as Marketing Assistant, the latest in a line of 11 appointments to the company in 2015, across departments including, tool making, moulding, quality, operations, design, sales and finance. This number is expected to increase further by the end of the year.

Omega Plastics provides product development and manufacturing services to the automotive, defence, medical, and personal care industries and employs more than 50 staff across its sites in Northumberland and Teesside.

Regarding the new appointment, Jonathan Galloway, Marketing Manager at Omega Plastics, said: “Megan joins the team at an important time for the business, our customer base is growing exponentially as we establish ourselves as a primary supplier in the rapid tooling and injection moulding industry across Europe.”

Both Galloway and Carr join Omega Plastics as graduates from the University of Teeside, with which the firm has close ties.
