Palagan celebrates 40 years in plastics

Polythene packaging manufacturer, Palagan Trading, is celebrating 40 years in business in July 2015 and credits continuing innovation and a pioneering approach for its success.

The company, which became part of the Plastics Capital group during 2008, has grown from its first premises in a 10sq.ft office above a clothes shop, to its current facility in Bedfordshire measuring over 42,000 sq.ft.

“Our team has pioneered raw material and extrusion progression for more than 25 years – we have continually strived to innovate and deliver the highest mechanical strength films for our customers to help them be at the forefront of low cost high performance packaging,” explained Managing Director, Simon Barton.

Palagan has emerged from humble beginnings to become a long-standing member of the polythene community. Today it develops films to customer specification and uses highly efficient extrusion lines with in-line conversion and printing across multiple lines.
