Pharma injection moulding company sweeps board at local awards

Pharmaceutical injection moulding specialist, polymermedics, swept the board at a manufacturing awards ceremony recently, taking home three accolades.

Nominated in three categories at this year’s Cornwall Manufacturing Awards, the St Austell-based firm claimed the ‘Community Engagement’ and ‘Environmental Project of the Year’ titles, while Lauren Tregilgas was jointly crowned ‘Trainee of the Year’.

The awards ceremony, organised by the Cornwall Manufacturers Group, recognised excellence among manufacturers of all sizes.

polymermedics' awards recognised the company’s ongoing work to rebuild a local scout hut, its impressive progress in recycling, and Lauren’s 18-month development journey from reception-desk administrator to Human Resources lynchpin.

“I’m really happy for everyone here; it’s great that all our hard work has been noticed,” said Operations Director, David Yallop.

“Lauren getting the nod in her category was a particularly special moment. We’re all really proud of her and everything she’s achieved.”
