Philip Law to be next Director-General of BPF
Mike Boswell, BPF President, has announced that Philip Law will take over as the new Director-General of the association from 1st July 2014.
In his speech at the association’s 80th Anniversary dinner, Boswell said Law was an “eminently well qualified candidate” for the role and had been voted in by the BPF’s Council members.
The current Director General, Peter Davis, who is retiring at the end of June next year, said: “Philip is an outstanding choice, with his well-known dedication to the Industry. I look forward to working with him in a smooth handover next year.”
At the event, Boswell said that during his Presidency he was focusing on four key areas essential for the development of the Plastics Industry: availability of finance; secure and affordable energy; meeting skills needs; recovery in the Construction and Building sector.
