Plastics recycling show cancelled amidst Brussels security fears

Following the official warnings issued this week relating to the security situation in Brussels, the organiser of a plastic recycling show due to be held in the city next week has announced the cancellation/postponement of the event.

The Plastics Recycling Show Europe was scheduled to take place at the Tour & Taxis venue this week (25-26 November), however, Brussels is now on the “highest alert level” with warnings of a “very serious” and “imminent” threat and therefore organiser, Crain Communications, says it has taken action to cancel the event.

In a statement, Crain Communications said it took the safety of its customers, staff, suppliers and colleagues “extremely seriously” and the decision will be made at a later date as to when the event will be rescheduled.

Crain is asking anyone with concerns or questions to contact them immediately.
