Plastribution receives ‘Best Companies to Work For’ accolade

Distributor of thermoplastic raw materials, Plastribution, has been recognised in the Sunday Times ‘Best Companies to Work For’ accreditations with a one-star award.

The Leicestershire-based company received the accolade, which is a recognised benchmark into employee satisfaction in the UK, after staff answered a confidential survey measuring their levels of fulfillment, motivation and engagement.

“It’s a fantastic achievement and a testament to all our hardworking staff,” said Plastribution’s Managing Director, Mike Boswell, on winning the award. “Being a best company is about excelling in every area throughout the workplace and an organisation's commitment to its most important assets - its workforce.”

Each organisation that forwards itself for the accreditation is given a Best Companies Index (BCI) score from 1-1000, depending on the answers given in the survey. Depending on an organisation’s BCI, it may receive a ‘one to watch’, one, two or three star rating. For the 2015 survey, a total of 428,710 employees were surveyed across 791 companies. Plastribution was one of 200 businesses to achieve a one star rating.

“Focusing on employees brings real benefits such as, improved workplace engagement, better staff retention, reduced recruitment costs and greater financial performance. Plastribution strives to ensure the environment that its employees work within is outstanding, with personal development plans, team-building workshops and incentive schemes offered to employees,” Boswell concluded.
