Premier Industries opens new premises to accommodate expansion and growth

Premier Industries Group, a UK business encompassing seven companies including Premier Moulding Machinery (PMM) and Premier Plastic Parts (PPP), has opened a new, purpose-built facility to accommodate growth and expansion.

The Rt Hon Jon Bercow MP carried out the official opening of the new business, based in Quainton, Buckinghamshire, on Friday 24th October, before being given a tour of the new buildings and meeting with clients, suppliers and staff.

The Ladymeade Business Park has in excess of 25,000 sq. feet of purpose built floor space over four buildings to accommodate the Premier Industries Manufacturing Group.

“We are delighted with the new Business Park,” commented Patrick Green, Premier Industries’ Director. “It has been a long 15 months through the build and move but what we have now is simply stunning and a great base for us to expand the business.”

The group is made up of seven manufacturing businesses covering plastic injection moulding, moulding machinery sales, architectural joinery, metal fabrications and retail security products.

Premier Moulding Machinery (PMM), founded in 2005, is the UK and Ireland Sales and Service partner for Haitian and Zhafir injection moulding machinery. Commenting on PMM, Green said: “The business has gone from strength to strength and has seen a massive increase in sales in the last 12 months, particularly in the automotive sector, where manufacturing is returning to the UK from the Far East to capitalise on the technical and quality capabilities of the British and Irish workforce.”

Haitian and Zhafir moulding machines are used in the Premier Plastic Parts (PPP) workshop, the division of the company specialising in plastic injection moulding of precision parts and optically clear plastics.

Together with its other divisions, the Premier Industries Group employs 27 directly and seven indirectly as subcontractors, of which one third are from the local village. The Group turns over in the region of £5m a year.

“It was important for us to remain in Quainton as we employ approximately one third of our staff from the village, as well as it being a beautiful setting,” concluded Green.
