“Rapidly growing sales” leads to four new recruits at Engel UK

Rapidly growing machine sales has led to Engel UK recruiting four new staff members in order to “stay ahead of the game” in terms of satisfying demand.

Explaining, Andy Dickson, Engel UK’s Customer Service Division Manager, said the company had taken the step to strengthen its service team with four engineers as a result of an increase in numbers as well as complexity of the machinery and equipment being delivered.

“There are a currently a huge number of machine orders in the pipeline, and if we had not reacted then we would not be able to maintain our customer response times,” said Dickson. “Fortunately, we saw this coming, and were able to start the recruitment process in enough time.  We were also very lucky to find four such qualified and skilled engineers; this has become a rare commodity in recent years.”

The four additions to Engel UK’s service team – Michael Beaty, Sam Whitworth, Steven Whiteley, and Ian Mackenzie, are undergoing a programme of product training, and will all be effective in the market this year.  According to Dickson, the new recruits, who all have a background in plastics processing, add “significant experience” to Engel UK’s team.

“All four will be working from home, and I am particularly pleased that we have been able to strengthen our service presence in the North Midlands and North East of England, where there looks set to be a lot of activity,” Dickson concluded.
