Manufacturer of polymer testing equipment, Ray-Ran, has been acquired by the US-based Industrial Physics Group in a move the company says will provide it with the “tools it needs to grow.”

Warwickshire-headquartered Ray-Ran joins Industrial Physics’ portfolio of companies that manufacture testing and measuring equipment across a number of industries, including Testing Machines Inc., USA; CMC Kuhnke, Germany; Messmer Buchel, Netherlands; and FIBRO System AB, Sweden.

“We are very excited about this acquisition,” said Karl Boone, CEO of Industrial Physics. “Ray-Ran Test Equipment Ltd. is an excellent fit within our platform of material testing instrumentation. The Ray-Ran product portfolio will further expand our offerings to the Plastics industry.”

Boone confirmed that in keeping with the Group’s business structure, Ray-Ran will retain its brand as a standalone product in its portfolio.

Under its new ownership, Andrew Lineker will assume the position of Managing Director, taking over from Neill Rayson-Randle.

“Ray-Ran is an outstanding organisation with an excellent reputation in the marketplace,” commented Lineker. “We are proud of the hard work and dedication of our employees, which have allowed our company to grow. We will of course remain as an autonomous independent entity within the Industrial Physics group and are certain the synergies between both companies will accelerate our future growth plans.”
