Summit expands team ahead of positive predictions for year ahead

Ancillaries specialist, Summit Systems, is expanding its team as it prepares for “a boom” in equipment installations over the coming year.

The Tamworth, Staffordshire-based company says that encouraging growth forecasts across the automotive, packaging and construction markets are the driver behind its preparations for an increased workload in 2015.

Summit says alongside the recruitment of three new employees across the business, it is also implementing a new, streamlined engineering division that has been in the process of modernisation since mid-2014.

Engineering Manager, Chris McCormack, who is heading up the division, says the changes, which include enhancing processes, updating training and recruiting a variety of new technical professionals, will ensure projects are delivered in an “efficient, effective, professional manner to consistent high quality standards.”

New additions to the team include former apprentice, James Gilbert, who has been taken on as Service Manager, David Edge, who has been appointed as Projects Manager and Matt Lloyd, who will undertake the role of Technical Engineer.

The company is currently in the process of recruiting another Electro/Mechanical Design Engineer and a CAD Desginer to support the growing department.

“We firmly believe our new staff, and major process improvements will help our clients further by cutting downtime and bolstering efficiency across projects, breakdowns and maintenance scenarios,” commented McCormack.
