The World Economic Forum Annual Meeting discusses transforming the plastics economy

by

The World Economic Forum Annual Meeting was held 22nd-25th January 2019 in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland.

The yearly gathering brought together leaders of international organisations and relevant non-governmental organisations.

One of the discussions at the forum, ‘Transforming the Plastics Economy’, explored how alternative materials, smart regulations and new consumer mindsets can transform the plastic economy.

The Forum is an independent and impartial International Organisation for Public-Private Cooperation, which has an objective to improve the state of the world.

The organisation says it does not promote any political, commercial or personal interests, nor does it use the names of its participants for promotional purposes.

Further stating transparency and public inclusion are achieved through broad international media participation, televised sessions and webcasts, and through the Forum’s millions of followers social media.

The Annual Meeting is said to achieve greater media impact compared to any annual event outside the world of sport.
