Two new moulding machines are icing on Pentagon’s investment

Pentagon Plastics is to invest in a further two moulding machines as it finalises an investment programme that has resulted in “significant growth.”

The Horsham-based manufacturer says it has so far invested over £300,000 to grow its business, develop its product range and invest in machinery in a number of different areas.

“The cost of the works undertaken to date are close to £300k and we have not yet hit the finishing line,” explained Gabby Day, Business Development Co-Ordinator at Pentagon Plastics. “However, every penny has already proved its worth as we see improvement in the flow of production, communication and staff welfare.”

The firm, whose services include design assistance, development, tool making, repeat production and post-moulding, made its first investment in 2012 in a HURCO CNC machine, enhancing the companies’ production and production quality, as well as an overhaul of its production offices.

Since then it has continued to invest, with the final two moulding machines adding to its current suite of nine.

“We have recently decided to invest a further £15k in a new CMM (coordinate measuring machine) which will further enhance our dedicated quality system for our customers,” Day continued.

“Before adding to our mould machine collection we will consider the potential areas of business growth. This is to ensure we are supplying the right equipment to take us into the next 40 years.”
