Automation of blown film lines to be demonstrated at K 2013

Extrusion control specialist, Plast-Control, is highlighting several new additions and updates to its product range at this year’s K Show.

Included will be the Air-CC, a capacitive, patented, non-contact gauge measurement sensor, which the company says has advanced technical features including true non-contact precision measurement of film tolerances and integrated diagnostics for easy maintenance.

In addition, Plast-Control will present its new automatic airing, the Pro-Con C-200, designed for smaller dies up to Ø 200 mm. The C-200 is said to be a smaller, economic version with 32 actuators and can be installed as a “binary high output airing”, or in a singular installation.

Also demonstrated will be the new laboratory profile measurement unit, Pro-Lab II; the latest versions of the company’s batch and continuous gravimetric dosing systems with integrated extrusion control; as well as a DK 2200 profile scanner ring and the C-Scan non contact capacitive measurement device for barrier film.
