Ensinger invests £500,000 in robotic machining technology at UK plant

Engineering plastics group, Ensinger, has invested £500,000 in state-of-the-art machining technology within its UK machined parts division.

The company, which serves a wide range of industries including aerospace, medical, electronics, automotive, construction, energy and offshore, expects the introduction of the new machining technology to boost turnover by more than £1million a year.

The company’s Managing Director, Terry Maggs, explained that the new, robotic machining cell enables 24/7 production capacity at the company’s plant in Tonyrefail, Wales.

“The robotic machining cell introduces a highly efficient system that can cope with low, medium and high volume cycles,” he explained. “It gives us robust and sustainable lights-out production, 24 hours a day”.

This is the latest technology investment made by Ensinger in a bid to support increasing demand from its customers for high-tech machining and world-class service.

 “With the introduction of robotic automation, we enhance our capability to service our customers’ specific and ever increasing requirements for efficient machining of high precision, tight tolerance, complex geometry components,” Maggs concluded.
