Fakuma is child’s play for Wittmann Battenfeld

Wittmann Battenfeld has revealed that a German toy supplier placed an order for 14 three-component injection presses at Fakuma 2012.

geobra Brandstätter, based in Zirndorf/Germany, is a leading supplier of toys in Germany, second only to Lego. Sixty percent of the entire Playmobil production comes from its Dietenhofen facility in Central Franconia.

The order follows the delivery of 30 Wittmann injection moulding machines to geobra Brandstätter in 2011, inclusive of integrated parts, removal robots, conveyor belts and peripheral equipment for upstream and downstream processing.

geobra Brandstätter is now adding multi-component technology to its production with the 14 new machines, which will be used to produce parts of Playmobil figures and are to be installed at the company’s Dietenhofen facility by the end of the first quarter of 2013.

”The way the exacting customer demands were met in terms of quick mould change, compact design and user-friendliness of the machines tipped the balance in favour of Wittmann Battenfeld,” said Robert Benker, Technical Managing Director at geobra Brandstätter.
