Manufacturer’s new system is no pipe dream

A UK-based rigid plastic manufacturer has had a new pipework system installed as part of its production relocation plan.

IsoCool, an energy saving company, carried out the works on behalf of Sharpak Aylesham, which is undergoing a £1.5million relocation of its thermoforming facility in Kent.

The relocation program saw a former warehouse turned into a new thermoforming facility that needed pipes for the compressed air and cooling systems.

In line with the company’s expansion, Sharpak’s machinery had been updated but it decided to modify rather than replace the pipework. However, the company moved to a new premises and therefore needed new pipes.

Nigel Hallett, Managing Director of IsoCool said: “The objective for Sharpak was to create an industry-leading production facility, which required all elements of the build and relocation to run perfectly.”
