Renmar sales ‘heat up’ thanks to stock holding policy

Renmar says thriving sales of its range of mould heating equipment can be attributed to its policy of holding large amounts of stock for fast delivery.

The Wellingborough-based supplier of ancillary equipment to the plastics processing industry has sold 200 units in the last 12 months, in addition to the 300 units it sold in the two years beforehand.

“Some while ago, we took the view that the mould heater ranges would sell far better if we were able to hold stocks of the more popular models and, therefore, be in the position where we could provide customers with fast delivery times,” explained Renmar’s Managing Director, Kevin Horne. “So now, from receipt of order, we can usually deliver in less than ten days.”

The company says that this policy has allowed it to supply customers quickly and effectively that cannot afford long lead times for equipment.

One customer taking advantage of the policy is UK-based injection moulder UPG. The company, which has been upgrading its ancillary equipment as part of an investment programme over the last two years says the option to purchase mould heaters with fast delivery times has been of great benefit.
