Stork and Sepro sign new robots partnership

Sepro Group has signed another partnership with an injection moulding machine manufacturer that will see its Cartesian robots sold as part of a package.

The latest deal, with Netherlands-based Stork IMM, comes after a relationship between the companies over the last few years, with Stork recently operating a Sepro S5-25 robot on one of its machines at NPE 2015, which took place in March in Orlando, Florida, and at PLASTPOL, which was held in Kielce, Poland, in May.

“We are very happy to complete this agreement with Stork, a company that is well-known for the reliability of their product in the demanding sector of packaging,” explained Jean-Michel Renaudeau, CEO of Sepro Group.

“Collaboration with injection moulding machine manufacturers is a key component in our growth strategy and an important element in the ‘free choice’ we offer to our customers.”

In 2014, sales through IMM manufacturers accounted for 12 percent of Sepro’s global turnover, Renaudeau noted. In recent weeks the company has announced another partnership with French machine manufacturer, Billion.

Robert G. Spekreijse, CEO of Stork IMM, said: “The Stork organisation is growing onto new markets and products. The expansion of our product portfolio with the Sepro solutions allows us to offer to our customers the systems they ask for. Especially regarding our crate-line for example; usually we are asked to supply a global package instead of a machine only.”
