Two UK manufacturers boast benefits of Borche

Two Midlands-based plastic manufacturers have recently spoken about the production advantages they have experienced after purchasing Borche injection moulding machines.

Agema, a Coventry-based engineering firm, recently invested in a 2,200 tonne machine for delivery in May, which it will use to facilitate increased production as demand from the automotive industry for its exterior and interior car components rises.

The company, which cites customers including Jaguar Land Rover, Aston Martin and Triumph Motorcycles, has invested more than £10million on Borche machines and other new production systems and facilities, with an overall factory floor area of more than 9,000 sq. metres over five factory units.

“Agema purchased the first Borche machine three years ago and now have over twenty, we have found the machines to be very reliable, consistent and extremely energy efficient,” commented John Stringer, Managing Director of Agema.

Also referencing energy efficiency as a key benefit of the Borche machines is Burton-upon-Trent- based manufacturer, UB Plastics, which has recently taken delivery of its fifth new injection moulding machine in the space of three years.

UB Plastics says it has invested in the machines to meet increasing demand from its customers in the brewing industry for its specialist products including keg caps, cask furniture and pegs. The company also utilises in-mould labelling technology with an extensive use of robotics within its factory, which now extends to 22 machines.

“We are delighted with the performance of the Borche machines in which are proving to be very reliable, compact and extremely energy efficient,” commented Andy Cox, one of three Directors at the firm.

Borche injection moulding machines, which are manufactured in the Far East, are available in the UK through Plastic Machinery Sales, based in Worcestershire.
