Clariant presenting a colourful lineup at Chinaplas

Clariant is presenting products and formulations with an emphasis on improving sustainability as well as adding value to key end-markets at Chinaplas 2014.

The company says in view of the dramatic improvements in standards of living and dynamic economic growth in the Greater China, it sees “great potential for development” in this region.

“Much of Clariant’s success is based on the extensive know-how of our people and their ability to identify new customer needs at an early stage, and then develop innovative and efficient solutions to match these,” commented Jan Kreibaum, Regional President of Clariant Greater China.

As such, Clariant is presenting a number of products and innovations in pigments, additives and masterbatches tailored to the packaging and electronics industries.

These include efficient phosphinate flame-retardants with new tailor made synergistic formulations, inlcuding Exolit OP 1400 for polyamides with special requirements and Exolit OP 1260 for polyesters, as well as Hiformer, a new integrated system for liquid masterbatches designed to enhance product properties and process parameters for customers. Clariant is also presenting customers with a portfolio of 15 non-halogenated pigments for electronic applications and a broad range of pigments and dyes with low halogen values.

‘ColorForward 2015’, Clariant’s 9th annual colour forecasting guide for the plastics industry combining colour, design, marketing, trend-watching and polymer know-how into colours reflecitng societal trends, is also accessible on its stand.
