Drinks served in new plastic shot glass are very ‘quaffable’

by

M&H plastics has developed a new shot glass that both replaces the original glass design and provides a safe and recyclable alternative for bars and clubs across Europe.

The new ‘Quaffer’ design is a shot-tail glass created from PET, which gives it a glass-like clarity whilst being unbreakable, easy-to-clean and suitable for recycling at the end of its useful life.

The glass’ unusual shape allows bar tenders to mix various drinks in equal measures with one floating on top of the other, enabling a unique drinking experience where the two elements mix together as they are drunk.

Sales of the Quaffer have been “exceptional”, says M&H, with bars reporting up to a 600 percent increase in sales of drinks that are suitable for the glass.

The design has also been developed to accommodate a snap-on cap and separator plunger - enabling a filled retail product to be marketed, whether alcohol-based or for mixed liquid condiments.

A range of enticing flavour combinations have been created to attract a range of customers, including a healthy herbal energy drink.
